As many large shippers require EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) of their carriers, customers use the various capabilities of Avant and Xcelerator to provide everything shippers need to populate their own back-office systems with valuable, real-time shipment information. Xcelerator EDI engines are fully customizable to shipper specifications. This includes the ability to create client-specific status codes which are propagated to Avant's devices. This feature enables drivers to "flag" individual package items with special status codes provided by the shipper.
